So, I am fat. That's fine... I've always been a big guy. No problem...

After the back surgeries in 2/07 I dramatically dropped to 204. That was the lowest I've seen since my immediate college days back in the late 80s. That's thin for me. And truthfully it lasted for a bit. But over the last year, no matter what I did, I shot back up to a whopping 248. That's as much as my youngest child weighs increase on my frame.

So... 44 lbs.

Ugh.

Today, I tried on my new kilt from Stillwater Kilts. They're a great local purveyor of kilts that I have wanted to add to my Ren Faire costume collection for quite some time. Of course Morgan saw me in the kilt and screamed "MAN SKIRT!" Great...

Then I looked in the mirror. Now granted I got a size too big, and have to order the next waist size down, but my fucking GOD I was huge. I've been so proud these last three weeks that I've lost 10 lbs but moderating my eating habits, cutting out the chips, drinking more water and limiting myself to one soda per day.

So my new weight is 238... I want 230 by GenCon in August. Gonna take some work, but I know I can do it.

My last weekend...

Ok, I'm on my last official weekend of working at Lowe's. And I'm grateful... retail work sucks. It really does show you a side of human nature you know is there but just would rather not see.

For the most part my co-workers were a pleasure to work with... too bad it's so hard to fire someone these days. With all the people in the country who are actively looking for work, why I had to put up with some of the lazy, moronic, and just plain inept people I have just sometimes boggles my mind.

Ok, off to work... just don't ask me for any discounts.

Ok, well... since I never have a lot to say (sarcasm), I guess the next step in the cyberlife is to start "blogging". Sounds like balloon flogging to me, but I will surrender and start putting thoughts down in words.

I will have to see how natural it is to share more, or less, of life as I see it to complete strangers on the internet. Because no one I know would want to read any of this crap...
